I rarely take time to appreciate my designs, so this week I’m going to rummage through my gear and choose my favorites. There are so many to choose from, but I got a good few.
The Collegiate Collection
The Collegiate is by far my favorite collection. Combining burgundy, navy blue, a hint of yellow and white is the perfect recipe for a great university look. Throw in fall weather and a sweater and you’ve got the studious look down to a T. My favorite item from this collection is the Yellow Bandit Collegiate Weekender Bag Blue/Burgundy. It’s the perfect size for overnight stays, durable and has the ideal design to keep things simple yet artistic. So it’s no surprise this bag made it onto the list.
Out of all of my everyday bags, I chose the Ice Cream Bar Backpack. Although I love a good tote, I’m more so a book bag fan. I like to carry too many things and want to make sure that I have enough room to bring more unnecessary stuff if I need to. No, but seriously this bag has all the pockets, different size options, water resistant, and can fit my ancient dinosaur of a laptop. Not to mention the minimalism in the design as well as the all-black color makes it easy to match any of my outfits.
Anyone who knows me knows that I have an obsession with hats. It’s kind of creepy. But seriously what’s an outfit without a crown? So this one was a hard one. After 20 long minutes of going back and forth, I ultimately chose the Concord Dad Hat. The deep purple and Concord illustrated embroidery fits so well. Also, the adjustable strap allows me to put my thick ass locks in a ponytail.
Alex In Wonderland
Alex In Wonderland was the introduction to the brands' inclusion of all genders. After switching to unisex base brands for all of my merchandise, I was able to share The BACo Store with any and everyone. The collection was, of course, a play on Alice in Wonderland’s whimsical and creative fantasy world. My favorite character was, of course, the Mad Hatter. Because the Mad Hatter made top hats, I wanted to play around with something old but different, so I added a bucket hat to the mix. While playing around in photoshop for hours, I decided to put the design on a shirt and lazily called it Had Matter.
Next on the list? The Rosey Racer Unisex Tank Top. There’s something about the material of this tank that makes me feel like I have no clothes on. Seriously it deadass feels like air. The rose pattern on the front and solid black on the back is also something I love. Throw on a blazer, some high-tops, and a brim- it’s a look!
The Tasty Collection was entertaining to create. When The BACo Store hosted a pop-up shop promoting the collection at The Meat Market, everyone was digging the vibrancy of the tees and the play on food. I’m not sure if it was Cinco De Mayo energy or if people love avocados, but the Guacamole tee sold out. So because of that, I had to add it to the list.
I chose the Green Patterned Bracelet because my favorite color is green and the pattern reminds me of tweed for some reason. The hint of purple layered onto dark greens makes this bracelet a noticeable accent to your outfit. I’m a simple person when it comes to style, so I like my accessories to have the same effect.
My favorite BACo White’s are the Yellow Bandit Collegiate High-Tops Blue. They’re just so comfortable and sleek and those damn colors…
What can I say? I like cats.
